🐹 Audi Q7 Intermittent Starting Problem

Posted December 3, 2021 I am looking for help to figure out what is going on with my 2015 Q7 3.0T/TDI Premium Plus. It has been having intermittent starting issues. When I push the button to start (also does it with key) the dash lights come on, air blows (hot) and the brake pedal becomes hard. No other warning lights or errors come up. The crankshaft position sensor monitors the position and speed of the crankshaft and other parameters that play an important role when starting the engine. If the crankshaft position sensor is having a problem, the vehicle may have intermittent starting issues or not start at all. 2. Intermittent Stalling - Often have to try 2-3 times to start - Large plume of white smoke out of the exhaust, but then normal idle without smoke. - Starts fine with a hot/warm start Conditions: - Ambient Temperature irrelevant. Happens Hot/Cold, Summer/Winter. - Vehicle must sit parked for longer than ~10 hours. Audi A6 c7 sline 2012. I am having issue with starting car. It starts but take awhile. So I have to turn off ignition lock the car and leave it for good 15 to 20 seconds and the unlock the car have repeat this locking and unlocking process three to four times and after car starts. If I turn off the eninge and start it straight away it starts First get a scan to see if any fault codes are being generated. I havent heard of it before in Q7. The MY 07 steering is based on the 03 Audi A8 (in other words MY2004). Pure guesswork It may be a sensor fail/connection fail on the speed sensitivity. The other posssible culprit is the serpentine belt. Audi Q7 3.0 TDI my2007 came to me with battery issue. I did a full scan and faults everywhere due tolow voltage. I cleared the DTCs, battery disconnected, charge battery overnight. test with Midtronic battery tester. test showed battery 100% reconnected the battery and start the engine, let it run and then recheck DTC, cleared all DTCs. FWIW, No expert on this issue in the Q7, but I've had several other cars where the ventilation system's 'root-cause' problem was the resistor (provides the variable speed of the blower fan by reducing power throughput, etc), which presented in the car as an issue with the blower motor not running, or cutting in/out, etc. Originally Posted by RJC 1. Iirc, it was available late in the release cycle, I ordered in Nov. 2016 and it was not then, but I think it was by the time my vehicle arrived (March 2017) Reply Like. Q7 MKII Discussion - Very loud squeaking noise from the engine! - Today we noticed that there is a JnBGfs.
